He was a very promising puppy from the very beginning. He did have an unsure beginning in life when, at the age of 6 months, he developed a horrible abscess on his leg. I believe he was bitten by a spider. It broke open and left a huge hole. We did surgery to correct it but we weren't sure how it would affect his movement or how he stood. With careful rehabilitation, Winston is absolutely normal. Winston was shown by me off and on for the first year of showing. Once he was ready to go, Kim Pastella took over the controls and he finished in 20 shows with 3 majors, 2 were at boxer specialties. He was co-owned with Tina Trusdale for his show career and my deepest thanks and gratitude that Tina liked him enough to be a part of our team. Winston is a sweet, loving, goofy male. Very typical of the boxer. Winston passed his temperment test to earn the TT title at the end of his name quite easily. He thoroughly impressed the tester with his obvious thought process when the "attacker" came at us and he could tell I wasn't scared but just didn't trust that man running at us. Winston has been holtered multiple times, the most current one was done in 2003 with ZERO vpc's at the age of 6! and has been echoed clear. He has had his eyes checked by an ophthalmologist and cleared per the CERF program. Winston has 1 champion son. His son Lucas, Champion StephLyn's Desert Moon.
