About Us
I got started in boxers when I was 17 years old (1989) and bought my high school boyfriend a boxer. While at the breeders house there was a gorgeous flashy fawn bitch that I fell in love with. I was told this bitch was already sold at the time. My boyfriend and I went back to the breeder's house a few weeks later to have the ears taped on the boxer we had bought. I found out the bitch that I fell in love with was now available for sale. Since I was still living at home I had to now convince my mom to let me have this little girl. After MUCH cajoling I finally got my wish and bought the 4 month old boxer that was to be known as How-Curt's Autumn Jubilee, DOM, "Holly". After showing Holly for a little while it became apparent that Holly HATED showing and we stopped. She was later bred and that started the StephLyn Boxer line.
I decided to get another smaller breed that would compliment the boxer. After researching several different breeds I decided on the french bulldog. In February 1998 I found Jiggy and fell in love and she is our frenchie foundation.
StephLyn Boxers and French Bulldogs strive to breed for health, beauty, and brains. For that reason our dogs are extensively health tested before breeding and require the same from the stud dog used as well. We eliminate any dog from our program that doesn't meet our standards in any way. Even if they are champions and don't pass the tests, they are not bred. As they are all house pets and loved family members here first and foremost, it is important that any puppy produced has the best chance at a long life with their new families as well. We love all puppies produced here. They are our babies. We feel very strongly about where they go and we LOVE to hear about them as the years go by. We are not a breeder who just forgets them once they leave the house. Buying a StephLyn dog, you become a part of our extended family. You will notice all our photos have www.stephlynshowdogs.com across them. Unfortunately we have had to resort to this because there are individuals who are stealing photos from good breeders to either sell their unhealthy puppies by showing well bred, very healthy reputable breeder's photos from their websites. So to try and prevent this from happening to us again (we discovered one of our photos was stolen from this site) we have had to incorporate this even though it messes up the photo.
